Meet the team

I have always had a deep passion for animals of all shapes and sizes. Having grown up with dogs in the family, I have now had cats for the past 20 years. 

Combining this love of animals and my desire to be active outside a lot of the time, I decided to give up the corporate world and set up Playful Paws Pet Care, where hopefully I can give your pets the same level of care, attention, fun and play that I give to my own pets, here in Wheathampstead. 

I am DBS checked, insured and qualified in pet first aid.

Hi - I'M Zoe, a lifelong dog lover, living in Harpenden. I have owned my own dog for the past 8 years — a friendly Maltipoo — and have been dog walking for the last 2 years.

Alongside this, I am NNEB qualified with over 30 years’ experience in childcare, which has given me a calm, patient and responsible approach to caring for others. 

I am a mum to one child and take great pride in being reliable, attentive and trustworthy.

I am fully DBS checked, trained in pet first aid and treat every dog in my care as if they were my own.

Hi, I’m Amy! Having grown up around dogs and cats, I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after them. I grew up with a goofy, mild-mannered black Labrador and lived with a high-energy, attention-loving Dachshund so I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. Over the years, I’ve regularly pet sat for dogs, cats and fish, each requiring their own routines and dietary requirements.

I’m friendly, reliable, and attentive. I’m also DBS checked and recently trained in pet first aid, so you can feel confident your pets are in safe.

I have grown up loving animals my whole life - from playing with my neighbours dog every day as a kid, to now studying Veterinary Medicine at university. I have had experience with a vast range of animals, having competed in horse riding, worked as a Patient Care Assistant in a Specialist Referral Hospital for a year and now doing several placements for my Uni Degree.

I have two family pets at home - a cat called Mango and a dog called Noodle. Mango is a ginger girl and mostly keeps to herself, unless it's food time. Noodle is a Labradoodle and she is the most clingy and loving dog.

I would like to specialise in Small Animal Surgery, so I will be working with dogs and cats mostly. Outside of animals, I love rock climbing and bouldering, as well as going to the gym.

 I'm Rebecca, an animal lover and psychology practitioner and have owned animals throughout my whole life, often caring for pets of all ages and sizes on a short and long term basis. 

I adore creating a safe, trusting relationship with animals and seeing them have lots of fun! 

I'm known for my patience, emotional intelligence and problem solving skills and provide a sense of safety and control balanced with love and compassion. 

I am DBS checked and qualified in pet first aid and will treat your pet with love and care! 

Hi, I’m Chelsea!

I’ve always had a deep love for animals and have enjoyed caring for friends’ and family pets through dog walks, pet visits and overnight stays.

I am also a swimming teacher, where I’ve developed a strong sense of responsibility, patience and keeping others safe — qualities I bring naturally to pet care too. I love creating a calm, happy environment where pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for.

I’m pet first aid trained and DBS checked, giving you peace of mind that your pets are in safe and caring hands.
